The Colorado Attorney General’s Office announced that it filed final Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) rules with the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office. The rules will go into effect July 1, 2023, the same date the CPA goes into effect. The rules contain a complex and lengthy set of requirements that controllers will need to carefully consider when complying with the CPA.

On April 19, 2023, members of Husch Blackwell’s data privacy team will host a webinar to analyze the final rules and how they will impact your CPA compliance efforts. During this webinar, we will:

  • Review the final rules
  • Compare the final rules to the final California Privacy Rights Act regulations
  • Analyze how the final rules interact with other state privacy laws in Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah
